Now this was a BUSY but very
rewarding day!
The
Bride and Groom had chosen South Coast Botanic Gardens as the beautiful
setting for their perfect day! The recption was in a lush, green meadow
atop a hill with an amazing view and the ceremony was on a lower meadow
in a separate location.
I arrived 3 hours early to make sure both locations were set up
properly and operating smoothly. For the ceremony, I provided sound for
a string trio, another 3-piece band (friends of the bride and groom
doing a special song for them) and also a wireless microphone for the
officiant.
After the ceremony, I had about 45 minutes to pack that entire setup
away while the string trio performed in the cocktail area, and then get
to the reception site where I provided DJ and Emcee services for the
rest of the evening. At one point, the coordinator had to leave on a
personal emergency, so I took over managing the evening's timeline,
everything went smoothly and the night was perfect, beautiful and most
importantly - FUN!
